Placement Form
Q: How does VIP work?

A: We partner your family member with a VIP team member (adult/teen) in our existing programs at Cornerstone.

Q: How do I enroll my child?

A: Contact the Special Needs Ministry (VIP) Coordinator with your request/questions by emailing us at: Then submit a VIP Placement form. This will help us understand your child’s specific needs and begin the process of VIP placement.

Q: What happens next?

A: Once we receive your child’s placement form, we will contact you to schedule an observation in our VIP class. We will partner with you to determine which environment is best for your child. Placement is also determined by volunteer availability and classroom space.

Q: How are volunteer partners selected?

A: Once someone notifies us of their interest in volunteering in VIP, an interview is scheduled to determine their qualifications and best fit in the program. Each volunteer partner must go through a security screening process to be approved to work with children.

Q: Is the volunteer partner trained?

A: Occasionally our partners have experience working with special needs children/adults, but often this is not the case. We do provide some basic training, general guidelines and accountability, but since you know your child best and are an expert in their care, we rely upon you to help the volunteer learn how to best care for your child.

Q: What will your partner need from you?

A: Communication with your child’s partner is vital so that they may provide consistent care for your child. Please pray for your child’s partner as they seek to serve you and your child.
