At age 9 in a small mission church, Greg surrendered his life to Christ. Feeling God’s call to ministry, Greg began preaching at age 14, pastoring his first church at age 18 and over a period of nearly 50 years planting and pastoring small churches.

Cheryl surrendered to Christ as a teenager, growing up as a PK (preacher’s kid). A registered nurse, Cheryl has spent nearly 40 years working in labor/delivery. Since April 2015 when Greg retired, the Whitakers have lived in Gilbert and been members of Cornerstone, leading small church/life groups. They have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
